Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16, Alexandra played the leading character in various dramas on television. The audience was impressed by her portrayal on Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra is known for her work in numerous notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. They include the British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she was a member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
